The exhibition Pinchos is a tribute to creativity, tradition, and innovation, intertwining two seemingly distant worlds: gastronomy and contemporary jewellery. With the participation of 23 artists, this exhibition reinterprets the concept of pinchos, one of the most emblematic expressions of Spanish culinary culture, transporting it to the realm of portable art.

In this exhibition, jewellery is not merely an ornament, but small sculptures that encapsulate the essence of pinchos: their ephemeral nature, diversity of forms, and ability to surprise with unexpected combinations. Each piece explores the textures, materials, and compositions that evoke the visual and symbolic elements of this gastronomic tradition. From pointed structures reminiscent of the toothpicks that hold ingredients, to abstract forms suggesting the vibrant flavours and colours of a bar filled with pinchos, the works transcend their decorative function to become a dialogue between the ordinary and the extraordinary.

The exhibition space becomes a symbolic bar where jewellery takes the place of dishes. Here, the visitor not only contemplates but also participates in a sensory journey that invites reflection on art as nourishment for the soul. Just as a pincho is a miniature masterpiece that combines technique and creativity to delight the palate, these jewels are a celebration of detail and imagination, designed to be admired and worn as an extension of the body.

Lalabeyou is a contemporary jewellery gallery and school based in Madrid, Spain. Founded in 2012 by Laura González Sanz, Lalabeyou has become a prominent hub for creative jewellery design and education. Located in the heart of Chueca, the institution offers a wide range of courses catering to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. These include techniques such as metalworking, wax modeling, electroforming, and gemmology, among others. The school also hosts workshops, masterclasses with international experts, and provides a coworking space for alumni and professionals to collaborate in a vibrant and creative environment.

Beyond education, Lalabeyou has established itself as a key player in the contemporary jewellery scene. It has hosted over 30 international exhibitions in its gallery space and participated in prestigious events such as Joya Barcelona (2019–2020), Mad About Jewellery in New York (2020–2021), and Melting Point Valencia (2023). These exhibitions showcase innovative works by both emerging and established artists, reflecting the gallery’s commitment to fostering artistic dialogue and pushing the boundaries of jewellery as an art form.

Under the leadership of Laura González Sanz, who brings extensive expertise as a gemologist and jewellery artist, Lalabeyou continues to inspire creativity and excellence in contemporary jewellery design.
