It oozes, it drips—
ever-continuing droplets.
For millions of years, they fall
and collect:
pools of every event,
of all that has happened.

Dripping dicks,
drooling mouths,
a sniffling nose,
tearing eyes,
the wounds that still bleed.

Anthropomorphic shapes in stone
releases the weight
of ceaseless events

Drawn to the way minerals capture color and light, Hodne explores how the Earth composes matter into colours and transparent stones in the dark, as well as how lab grown crystals relate to our perception of value. His jewellery and sculptures are crystals and gemstones shaped like a droplet hanging from minerals, reminiscent of various body parts: weeping eyes, a runny nose, a drooling tongue, or a dripping phallus. The droplet is a trace of events and reactions. By giving the mountain anthropomorphic figures, the stone becomes part of our emotional spectrum as a sentient body.
