Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA),  is the only fine arts institution directly under the Ministry of Education of China and the first national fine arts education institution in the history of China. Founded in 1918 by modern educator CAI Yuanpei, it is the beginning of Chinese modern art education. Known as CAFA Jewelry, it is the first school of design in China to put forward the concept of ‘jewellery as art’, and has always upheld a critical, forward-looking and experimentalconcept of teaching.

THE CLOSER GALLERY, was founded in Beijing in 2017. As China’s leading private gallery specialising in jewellery, it is dedicated to the academic, artistic, and commercial dimensions of contemporary jewellery, driving the development of contemporary jewellery culture. Independently, it has curated and organised dozens of solo exhibitions by jewellery artists from home and abroad, as well as comprehensive exhibitions on contemporary jewellery. It promotes the growth of contemporary jewellery in China and Asia, serving as a bridge for communication among communities, industries, and international jewellery enthusiasts.
