Dog & Pony Gallery
Opening 11.03 14:00
Classically, two unknowns meet and face each other. Within them comes the feeling of anticipation, giving a moment for the unknown to arise.
“Blind Date” is a showing of jewelry in an experimental way at the Dog & Pony Gallery run by illustrator and paper artist Alexandra Lukaschewitz together with Mario Klingemann. They are opening their gallery during Munich Jewelry Week to host a unique event in contemporary jewelry.
“Blind Date” brings together artists Cherry Boonyapan, Ignasi Cavaller, Marie Grewenig, Stephanie Hensle, William Rudolph Faulkner and Alexandra Lukaschewitz to show their work in contrast with one another; bringing to the table individual themes and creating artistic confrontations. Born out of gesture, sensation, emotion, ratio and humor, the subjectivity of perception forms itself into an idea. It embodies action and finds expression in the image, the object and within the form.
“Blind Date” is more than a visible meeting of different working methods and materials. It will be an encounter with an uncertain outcome for artists and visitors alike. We invite you to come and sit at the table for the unknown experience and enjoy the presence of jewelry with one another. Within this moment, anything is possible.
